Certificate II in Sport (Coaching)

The requirements for a Certificate II in Sport (Coaching) will comprise achievement of seventeen (17) to twenty (20) of the following units of competency:

SRXFAD001A Provide first aid
SRXGCSO02A Deal with client feedback
SRXINU001A Develop knowledge of the sport and recreation industry
SRXOHS001B Follow defined Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures

 

Stream units (all required)

SRSCGP001A Operate in accord with accepted coaching practices, styles and legal and ethical responsibilities
SRSOGP002A Apply rules and regulations to conduct games and competitions
SRXCAI001B Assist in preparing sport and recreation sessions for participants
SRXCAI002B Assist in conducting sport and recreation sessions for participants
SRXCAI003B Provide equipment for activities

Surf Life Saving

Tennis
SRSTNS001A Assist in conducting safe tennis activities for beginner players

 

Elective units – Choose 6


A minimum of six (6) elective units of competency from any Training Package within the Sport and Recreation Industry (Community Recreation, Fitness, Outdoor Recreation, Sport) or from any other endorsed Training Package from any other Industry at the Certificate II level.

Any units selected must be relevant to the occupational outcome sought and should be appropriate to the Australian Qualifications Framework level
